Why HiPerLip® ?

HiPerLip®, PARJET rotary shaft seals with PTFE sealing lips, are ideal for sealing rotary shaft with minimum sacrifice of friction and power draw to achieve better performance of higher response and precision. Thanks to excellent PTFE compounds and unique sealing lip construction, HiPerLip® provides superior performace over conventional rotary oil seal, especially in high rotating speed, poorly lubricated, and other extreme working environment such as medium serious corrosion in high temperature.

Construction of HiPerLip®

 The radial contact pressure, derived from HiPerLipagainst mating shaft surface, produces a sealing action on the shaft. This is achieved by a combination of correct PTFE seal lip geometry, static seal (gasket), precise steel casing and forming process. For special size or high corrosion environment, 100% PTFE can be used without any steel casing. The interference compliant with that specified in DIN 3760 ensures static sealing between steel casing of HiperLip® and the seal housing. Our standard steel casing material is mild steel (SPCD) but other material like stainless steel (JIS SUS 304,  DIN 1.4301) is also available upon request. 

The standard type M1 is suitable for general application with speed up to 30 m/s and pressure up to 8 bar. The 100% PTFE HiPerLip type NA can be used in application with same speed but lower pressure limit 5 bar. It performs well even under poorly lubricated or dry conditions. Double-lip design type K2 or NB can provide better sealing under pressurized service and most of media. If any more stringent sealing function required, threaded PTFE lip (a set of return feed spiral groove into the seal lip ) on the medium side can provide better performance due to hydrodynamic effect.
